Neosho, Missouri — Access Family Care is pleased to announce that two of its dedicated healthcare professionals have been awarded loan repayment assistance through the Missouri Community Health Foundation. These awards recognize the critical role healthcare providers play in expanding access to quality care in rural Missouri.
The Missouri Community Health Foundation was established as a non-profit corporation by the Missouri Primary Care Association (MPCA) in 2009. The Foundation provides financial student loan repayment for the education of health care professionals in the State of Missouri who commit to providing future services for the underserved in the State.
Vickie Blevins, Nurse Practitioner, who serves patients at Access Family Care’s Cassville clinic, has been awarded $60,000 to support repayment of her educational loans.
Cheyenne Lasiter, Registered Dental Hygienist, who provides dental care at Access Family Care’s Lamar clinic, has been awarded $43,000 in loan repayment assistance.
Both awards were approved by the Board of Directors of the Missouri Community Health Foundation as part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Missouri’s healthcare workforce and supporting providers who serve in community health settings.
“These awards recognize the dedication of healthcare professionals who choose to serve in rural and underserved communities,” said Don McBride, CEO of Access Family Care. “Vickie Blevins and Cheyenne Lasiter provide essential care to our patients, and we are grateful to the Missouri Community Health Foundation for investing in providers who make a meaningful difference in the health of our communities.”
The loan repayment program helps healthcare providers reduce the financial burden of educational debt while continuing to serve patients in community health centers and other high-need areas.
Access Family Care is proud of the work of both Blevins and Lasiter and congratulates them on this well-deserved recognition.
