About Us

Good Day. I am David Wimer, and I am an Independant candidate for Coroner of Barton County. I was raised NW of Lamar near Irwin, and graduated from Lamar High School in 1987. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice in 1992 from Missouri Southern State College.

I recently retired after a 32 year career as a law enforcement/public safety officer.

My career has taken me from Southwest Missouri, to the Mexican Border in Arizona, around the world, and now back home again. My wife and I feel very fortunate to live here in Barton County.

I am an experienced Investigator, including as a medicolegal death investigator, I have extensive education, training, and experience in subjects including evidence collection, death investigation, mass incident response, and recovery.

I pledge to deliver compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced assistance to my fellow Barton Countians in a time of great stress and need. I look forward to the opportunity to serve, if elected, as your Coroner.
