Chamber Quarterly ~ P3 Community App, Presented by Erick Burton
Erick Burton Lead Pastor of The Church for Imperfect People and Board Member for Lamar?s Drug-Free Coalition will be our presenter during the July Chamber Quarterly Meeting. He will be discussing the latest in technology the P3 Community App to help keep our community safe.
Lamar's Drug-Free Coalition, partnered with "About Our Kids" to introduce the P3 Community App, where students & the community can leave tips for suspicious or illegal activity to our newly appointed Community Resource Officer, Robert Lawrence and other local law enforcement. The app encourages people to anonymously "tip or report" from the app. The thought is when you "see something, say something" from assault, drugs, sexual assault, bullying, depression or just to help someone in need.
The P3 Community App is still very new to our community. Students are becoming more aware of its presence, but our residents need to learn the benefits of the P3 Community App for reporting suspicious activities. Erick will be doing a live walkthrough of the app to prepare the audience to be ready to use it in the future! It's free to download on both Apple and Android and can be downloaded through this link: http://aokyouth.org/s4-project/ If you are planning on attending, please download the "free app" prior to arriving at the event.
