Commission Meeting Minutes June-1-2020

NOW ON THIS DAY THE COUNTY COMMISSION met pursuant to law in the Courthouse in the City of Lamar, MO.

Jeff Tucker moved to accept the minutes of the May 26, 2020, meeting as read. Ben Reed seconded and all agreed.

  • Approved June Expenditures
  • Approved Monthly Reports – Circuit Clerk, County Clerk, Prosecuting Attorney, Public Administrator, Recorder of Deeds and Sheriff (April)
  • Approved time sheets to be paid on Thursday, June 4, 2020
  • Ben Reed motioned to go into closed session pursuant to RSMo Chapter 610.021 (1) to discuss legal actions in regards to the opioid lawsuit with John Edgar via telephone. Jeff Tucker seconded and all agreed. Mike Davis, Yes; Ben Reed, Yes and Jeff Tucker, Yes.   No votes were taken
  • Ben Reed motioned to return to regular session. Jeff Tucker seconded and all agreed. Mike Davis, Yes; Ben Reed, Yes and Jeff Tucker, Yes
  • Information was received from Tonya Potter, Dispatch Director, that Nicolai Flores had resigned his position as a dispatcher effective June 1, 2020.
  • Information was received from Mike Smalley, Prosecuting Attorney, that DeAnna Ross had resigned her position as secretary effective June 1, 2020.
  • Ben Reed motioned to go into closed session pursuant to RSMo Chapter 610.021 (1) to discuss legal actions in regards the CARES Act Funds with Travis Elliott, Attorney via telephone. Jeff Tucker seconded and all agreed. Mike Davis, Yes; Ben Reed, Yes and Jeff Tucker, Yes.   No votes were taken
  • Ben Reed motioned to return to regular session. Jeff Tucker seconded and all agreed. Mike Davis, Yes; Ben Reed, Yes and Jeff Tucker, Yes
  • County Commission met with Randy Morey, Road and Bridge Crew Leader, Todd Robertson, Nashville Township and Paul Crabtree, Southwest Township, and discussed culverts that needed fixed. After a discussion the County hired Todd Robertson and Matt Stevens to fix six culverts in Southwest Township.
Present were:  Mike Davis, Presiding Commissioner; Ben Reed, District One Commissioner; Jeff Tucker, District Two Commissioner and Kristina Crockett, County Clerk
